Carson Harte (Exceed CEO) and Kheng Sisary (Exceed Cambodia Country Director) welcomed Mr Yohei Sasakawa, Chairman of The Nippon Foundation, to the Cambodia School of Prosthetics and Orthotics. Since the opening of the school in 1994, the school has flourished, becoming an international resource for the training of Prosthetist Orthotists and Technicians. Over the years, the school has welcomed students from more than 26 countries and currently includes students from around Asia-Pacific and Africa.
Mr Sasakawa reflected on the impact of the Prosthetics Orthotics School in Cambodia. "Born out of the need to provide prostheses for landmine survivors, Cambodia has gone on to influence the region, bringing modern Prosthetics Orthotics to Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Philippines and Myanmar, he expressed his pride in Cambodia's achievement."
