ERN is a voluntary and supportive group which includes representatives of universities, NGOs and private sector organisations.
ERN’S Purpose
ERN aims to benefit people with disabilities by carrying out and making use of high quality, applied research on disability and P&O issues and disseminating research results. It also aims to develop research capacity in lower and middle income countries (LMICs).
The Network has a particular interest in P&O and issues and research and in P&O education in LMICs. It works by responding to research calls, addressing issues identified by group members and working in partnership with organisations which wish to develop, commission and implement research strategies and projects or develop and test new assistive technologies and devices.

PARTNERSHIP
ERN is built upon voluntary partnership and collaboration and Exceed Worldwide and other network members have extensive experience in the development of partnership-based projects. This includes work with other universities, national governments and international development agencies and links to representative organisations like the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics.
This focus upon partnership and collaboration means that it is the norm for ERN and ERN members to lead or participate in the development and implementation of research strategies and projects that involve a number of partners and collaborators.
